Introduction

Located in Xi'an (Shaanxi Province), an ancient capital of thirteen dynasties,Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology(XAUAT) has embraced disciplines of civil engineering,architecture and environment in theearliest history of China’s modern higher education. Along with more than 120 years of establishment and more than 60 years ofamalgamation, XAUAT is one of the famous “Old Eight Universities” of civil engineering and architecturein China and the key university of the former Ministry of Metallurgy. In addition, the universityhas been listed in the first batch of universities approved by the State Council to grantdegrees of doctor and master, andnow it is a high-leveluniversity inShaanxi Province, funded jointly by Ministry of Education, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Shaanxi Provincial Government.

After more than 60 years of amalgamation,XAUAT has become a multidisciplinary university with characteristic disciplines (civil engineering and architecture, environment and municipal administration, material and metallurgy and other relateddisciplines),maindisciplines (engineering technology) and otherdisciplines (literature, science, economics, management, art and law). The university has been awarded “Special Contribution Award for Architectural Education” by International Union of Architects (UIA) and “NationalAdvanced Employment Unit” by the State Council. What’s more, the party committee of XAUAT has been awarded “National Advanced Primary Party Organization” by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

XAUAThas 3 national key disciplines and 34 provincial key disciplines among which architecture, urban and rural planning, landscape architecture and metallurgical engineering have been listed in top 10 in China. In November 2016, it was the first time that engineering of the university entered top 1% of ESI global ranking. Now, XAUAT has postgraduate schools, 9first-level discipline doctorates and 7 mobile postdoctoral centers. (1) Basic Qualifications

1.Passion for education, both ability and political integrity, physical and mental health.

2.Doctor's degree from well-known universities or research institutes at home and abroad. With the same or similar majors for the undergraduate, master and doctor's degrees.

3.32 years old or younger in general: 35 years old or younger for associate senior professional and technical posts; 40 years old or younger for theposts of humanities and social sciences.

4.In line with the requirements of recruitment posts, and with the ability to teach relevant courses, strong research capabilities and certain scientific research results.

5.Good foreign language skill and ability to conduct international academic exchanges.

(2) Recruitment Disciplines

Science, engineering, literature, law, economics, management, arts and other disciplines; civil engineering, environmental science and engineering, architecture, materials science and engineering, urban and rural planning, landscape architecture and management science and engineering seven postdoctoral research stations

(3) Talents andRemuneration

(1) Teachers (high-level talents):

Class A: Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, outstanding talents of the “Ten Thousand Talents Program”, top talents and innovation team of the “Thousand Talents Program”, and top talents at home and abroad.

Remuneration: 1. Settling-in allowance of 1 million yuan; 2. Work start-up fee of 1,500 to 20 million yuan; 3. Housing subsidy of 2.6 million yuan; 4. Annual salary of 0.8-1.5 million yuan; 5. Research assistants, team backbone and work car; spouse’s work and children's enrollment.

ClassB: Distinguished Professors of “Yangtze River Scholar”, leading talents of “Ten Thousand Talents Program”, winners of long-term and foreign projects of “Thousand Talents Program”, winners of Outstanding Youth Fund of National Natural Science Foundation of China, leaders of innovation groups, national-level teachers, national-level talents of the “Hundred-Thousand and Ten-Thousand Talent Engineering Project” and national leading talents equivalent to the above-mentioned level.

Remuneration: 1. Settling-in allowance of 800,000 yuan; 2. Work start-up fee of 5 to 15 million yuan; 3. Housing subsidy of 2.1 million yuan; 4. Annual salary of 600,000-800,000 yuan; 5. Appointed as professor level 2, School teacher B class Post; 6. Research assistants; spouse’s work and children's enrollment.

Class C: Winners of “Thousand Talents Program” project, winners of “Yangtze River Scholar” project, top talents of “Millions of Planners” youth project, national outstanding youth science fund winners, winners of Shaanxi “Thousand Talents Program” long-term, Short-term, foreign-specialized projects, and national-level young experts and local leaders at levels equivalent to the above-mentioned levels.

Remuneration: 1. Settling-in allowance of 500,000-600,000 yuan; 2. Work start-up fee of 1-4 million yuan; 3. Housing subsidy of 1.5 million yuan; 4. Annual salary of 400,000-600,000 yuan; 5. Employed as professor level 4, with school post being not less than teacher C1 position; 6. Research assistants; spouse’s work and children enrollment.

Class D: Selected candidates for the “Thousand Talents Program” youth project in Shaanxi Province, and local youth experts at this level.

Remuneration: 1. Settling-in allowance of 300,000 to 400,000 yuan; 2. Work start-up fee of 400,000-800,000 yuan; 3. The housing subsidy of 600,000 yuan for Shaanxi Province "Thousand Talents Plan" youth project winners, purchase subsidies of 400,000 yuan for other D-class talents; talent turnover room or rent subsidy; 4. Appointed as associate professor level 6 with the school position being not lower than teacher C3 position; 5. Helping solving spouse’s work turnover and the children's enrollment.

Class E: High-level doctoral and postdoctoral talents at home and abroad.

Treatment: 1. Settling-in allowance of 200,000 to 300,000 yuan; 2. Work start-up fee of 200,000 to 300,000 yuan; 3. Housing subsidy of 300,000 yuan, and provision of talentturnover room or rental subsidy; 4. Appointed as associate professor level 7, on-campus position Not less than the teacher C5 position; 5. Helping solving the spouse's work turnover and the children's enrollment.

The high-level talents and teams with outstanding performances and potential for the development of the discipline are not divided by the above-mentioned levels, but in a manner of one project one discussion.

(2) Distinguished Professor of "Yanta Scholar"

High-level talents who meet the requirements of Class A, B, and C can be recruited as special professors of the “Yanta Scholars” in our university. They work in the form of part-time and short-term projects, mainly to play their role in team building and discipline development. Time and content are contractually agreed upon according to the needs of the job. We provide post allowance of 200,000 to 400,000 yuan/year, and the checking is performed according to actual work performances and working time. We provide studios and accommodation apartments.

(3) Teachers (doctoral graduates)

Excellent doctor and postdoctoral at home and abroad. It is included in the management of school establishment, and the treatment of wages, allowances, insurance, benefits, etc. is carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations of the state and Shaanxi provincial institutions. The family allowance and house purchase subsidy is 50,000-200,000 yuan, and the work start-up fee is 50,000-200,000 yuan. The subsidy for renting houses or renting houses is provided (1500 yuan/month).

(4) Post-doctoral posts

Excellent doctor at home and abroad. The annual salary system is implemented, 180,000 in the first two years and 150,000 in the third year. The annual salary does not include the performance award of the school; the research start-up fee is 50,000 yuan. When you are out of the station, you will be accompanied by high-level talents or ordinary introduced household fees, research fees, and housing subsidies. Providing subsidized post-doctoral apartments or renting subsidies, and enjoying the same treatment as the in-service faculty and staff in school when the children go to school and during the station.

(4) Application process

1. 2. The faculty conducts a preliminary review of all applicants and submits them to the school for review, examines the personnel who passed the audit, conducts psychological tests and comprehensive interviews for the candidates, and recommends candidates for the school.

3. The Personnel Office reviews the materials to be selected and determines the list of introduced personnel to report to the school. The school passed the examination and publicized the list of hired personnel.
